The
action
really
got
going
and
Charles
didn't
waste
any
opportunities.
The
dorado
ranged
in
size
from
little
schoolie
sized
ones
to
20-25
lb
hard
charging
bulls
so
you
had
the
be
ready
for
anything.

short
work

this

Dorado
8-18-2006
Dorado
are
hard
fighters
that
don't
give
up
easily
or
without
a
fight.
The
prospects
of
a
long
car
ride
to
Arizona
packed
on
ice
didn't
sound
too
appealing
to
this
big
dorado
so
he
decided
to
make
one
last
run
for
it.
He
didn't
go
far.

Nico Garcia
8-18-2006
We
kept
trolling
since
kelp
paddies
were
tough
to
come
by.
Nico
made
the
trip
with
his
cousin
Richard
and
was
up
to
troll
when
another
nice
dorado
hit
the
feathers.

This
was
Nico
first
ocean
trip
so
it
was
nice
to
see
him
land
a
nice
fish.
These
ones
pull
a
little
harder
then
those
trout
out
of
Big
Bear
lake
don't
they
Nico
?

Frank
"The
Dodo
Master"
Dunn
had
some
kind
of
magical
connection
going
with
the
dorado
because
this
guy
had
a
knack
for
hooking
the
big
ones.
Here
he
is
feeling
the
connection.

Fishing
was
tough
but
we
could
count
on
Frank
to
feel
the
connection
again
for
us
and
feel
the
connection
he
did.
Yeah
another
big
Dorado
connected
to
end
of
his
line.

Dorado
8-18-2006
Dorado
are
not
the
easiest
fish
in
the
world
to
gaff
and
they
have
a
nasty
habit
of
flying
off
the
gaff
after
being
stuck.
Keep
from
losing
the
fish
if
it
flies
off
the
gaff
by
puting
you're
reel
in
freespool
just
after
the
deckhand
gaffs
the
fish
and
be
ready
in
case
it
comes
off.

took
awhile
but
Frank
finally
got
this
one
to
the
side
of
the
boat.

found
a

but
could
only
manage
a
few
fish
off
each
one.

Frank Saputo

Frank
Saputo
from
Phoenix
Arizona
got
into
the
action
as
well.
This
nice
dorado
ate
a
sardine
and
put
up
one
heck
of
a
battle
before
giving
in.

We
continued
to
set
out
the
trollers
and
hunt
for
paddies.
Josh
Foster
of
Phoenix
was
the
next
one
to
get
bit
and
he
landed
this
nice
dorado

Adam Hughes
8-18-2006
We
kept
at
it
and
it
was
Adam
Hughes
from
the
Lucerne
Valley
that
was
the
next
to
hookup.
This
dorado
was
so
mad
from
the
whopping
Adam
gave
him
that
he
took
it
out
on
the
deckhands.
This
badboy
bit
deckhand
Drew
Masters
head
clean
off
in
a
single
bite.
We
thought
this
might
not
be
so
bad
at
first.
Maybe
this
would
keep
Drew
quiet
for
a
bit.
But
No
Luck.
The
second
we
sewed
his
head
back
on
he
was
quickly
back
to
jabbering
away
and
telling
stories
like
nothing
ever
happened.

are
a
tough
breed.

Diane Payne

Despite
being
greatly
outnumbered
by
the
guys,
Diane
held
her
own.
She
landed
this
nice
dorado
making
her
one
of
the
only
persons
on
board
to
land
a
yellowtail,
yellowfin
and
a
dorado.
Way
to
go
Diane

the

I'm
not
sure
what
was
brighter,
that
freshly
lit
up
dorado,
Frank's
shorts,
or
that
smile
on
Robby's
face
after
he
landed
this
nice
dodo.
